Beautiful organic wine - grown in Upper Moutere clay quartz, hand picked grapes turned into fine wine using small batch ferments, then hand bottled on the vineyard.

Partington Organic Wines Making organic wine is our joy. Crafting the best organic wines in New Zealand is our goal and our passion.

The vineyard is situated in the Upper Moutere hills of New Zealand's "Sunshine Capital" - Nelson. The vines are planted in clay quartz, on gentle to steep North facing slopes.

Harvest time is a gathering of friends, family and community to hand pick the grapes, which are then small batch fermented.

Hand crafted

We believe the extra "hands-on" care we take at every stage allow this wine to express the subtleties of Nelson sunshine and our love and passion for creating an organic wine that treads lightly on the land.

Certified Organic

All our wines carry the Biogro Certified Organic logo with a registration number beneath. This guarantees the wine is truly organic. That means no chemicals of any kind have made their way into the wine or onto the vineyard. To deserve this badge of authenticity all wine is bottled and labelled on the vineyard using our own equipment.

The Organic Guarantee

Biogro New Zealand Ltd, in turn, is accredited by the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) which means that Biogro does not set it's own standards but complies to a worldwide "third party" standard.

IFOAM's Organic Guarantee System (OGS) is designed to firstly facilitate the development of organic standards and third-party certification worldwide, and secondly to provide an international guarantee of these standards and organic certification. The IFOAM Basic Standards and the Accreditation Criteria are two of the main components of the OGS.

Having New Zealand's highest sunshine hours gives Nelson region the advantage in producing reputable aromatic wines and distinctive Pinot Noir.

Nelson is nestled in the northwest corner of New Zealand's South Island.
The region stretches out from the mountains of the Southern Alps through the fertile plains to the pristine golden sand beaches of Tasman Bay.

The gentle rolling hills of the Moutere Valley were formed from ancient rivers giving clay soils laced with river gravels. The Moutere soils are renowned for expressing ripe fruit, rich elegant finely structural wines.
